BIOGRAPHY

Michael George Crouchman or his stage name Michael George was born in Leicestershire and has worked in and around the Midlands i.e. Derby, Northampton, Nottingham and Lincolnshire for several years. He has performed from an early age in Pantomime, Theatres, Pubs, Clubs and Private functions and parties.
He is a Solo Cabaret Performer but his range of music is varied, from Old to Modern, Ballads to Rock and Roll, Soul to Motown
Michael first started his singing career at the local town of BARWELL where he was born to George and Madge Crouchman along with his sister Lynn, George and Madge encouraged Michael and Lynn to sing and they teamed up as a brother and sister act to perform with THE BARWELL COMIC BAND which was a Charity organisation which used to travel the country with other performers and raise thousands of pounds (£) for local causes,
Michael and Lynn used to sing along with the others at local pubs and clubs (pictures on his gallery) and Michael was soon singing solo to the delight of his parents and families, Lynn married ken and Michael married Michelle, Lynn has two sons, Michael has two sons, but sadly none of them wanted to carry on in their fathers profession,
Michaels motto is turn your "Ambition into your Profession" and through the years has grown from a solo cabaret singer into a theatre singer it has been a long struggle but he has kept the faith and persevered to where he is today,
He first sang solo at his local theatre the Concordia Theatre in Hinckley, Leicestershire at the ripe old age of twelve, starring in their first pantomime at the theatre there "HUMPTY DUMPTY" (pictures on his gallery) along star of those days "Selwyn Froggit" alias Bill Maynard from the show "The Gaffer" he continued to sing his way around the country at shows and gigs, then after a few years running his successful haulage business in Barwell employing over twelve people he again decided to start up his singing career where he left off,
He decided that he would again begin his career at the place he started the Concordia theatre, where you have to be sponsored by a member of the committee, sure enough he was sponsored and his first show "one night only with Michael George 2013" was a sell out but he was only using backing tracks, a local compere, a female singer, a comedy/magician/illusionist & partner the R.N.L.I choir, banjo Dez, and Michael with all proceeds going to "Hope against Cancer" a local charity Michael supports,
The next year again after many months of travelling around the country his luck changed when he met a fellow musician who said he could get him a live band, based in Leicester, Adrian Blisset a session musician, along with five other session musicians all met and formed the first Michael George band, they put on his second show "The Michael George Variety Show 2014" again a sell out, but this time he had his own showgirls, his own band, a Top comedy/magician from television, a lovely young female singer and Michael,
Now twelve months later Michael is again booked at the Concordia Theatre Hinckley, also for the "Hope against Cancer" charity he supports, along with his new 2015 showgirls, a up and coming fantastic female singer, his new 8 piece band, (with two members coming from her majesty's force's of the royal marines band) and Pete Richardson his new musical director from Barton upon Humber, and the one and only "jimmy Cricket" also helping 2015 to be a fantastic year for Michael, with other theatres booking him as we write this blog, with Stamford, Gainsborough, Concordia, Bridlington theatres all coming on board to make 2015 a special year for Michael, who has had his up and downs just like other performers, so has new theatres book the Michael George variety show, why not book a seat at a theatre near you this year to see his show,
please keep popping in to the about page just to see what will happen next to Michael,............................
I also do a Lot of Charity work, for Cancer Research, L.O.R.O.S. (Leicestershire hospice) and my last was with Eddie Kidd, the Famous Stunt Rider, for his charity, The Eddie Kidd Foundation, (for injured stunt performers) who also appeared on the night, although he was in his wheelchair, where we raised over £1,000. This year we are again trying to organise a Charity event for Cancer Research at our local football stadium,
